DIRECTOR, HEIDI MIAMI MARSHALL's career has spanned over 20 years as a professional Director, Casting Director, Acting Coach. She's received awards and fellowships for directing in both theater and film, most notably the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women (the DWW) and The Drama League.
Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby) has said: “All of Heidi Marshall’s work has lead me to see that she’s a director of first rate talent and ability.” Her latest short film, MUSCLE, played at over 30 festivals worldwide and won 7 awards.

WRITER/PRODUCER, JOHNNY SANCHEZ is an actor+writer+producer. As an actor, he’s worked with Steven Soderbergh, Michael Bay, Frank Oz, Arthur Hiller, John Badham, Hugh Wilson; etc.
As producer, he co-produced FIND ME GUILTY directed by Sydney Lumet, starring Vin Diesel and Peter Dinklage; and EVEN MONEY starring Academy Award Winners Kim Basinger and Forest Whitaker. Most recently, Johny produced MUSCLE directed by Heidi. Muscle won Best Narrative Short Film and the Best of the Fest Award.
As a writer, Johnny co-wrote A THROUGH M, a political, Sci-Fi, short that won Best Dramatic Short. LA BLANQUITA is his first feature script, making the rounds at top writing competitions and winning awards.
CO-PRODUCER, JLOVE is the Founder and Creative Director of JLove Global, and is an activist, author, coach and a creator, producer and director of TV and Film. Storytelling and justice are at the heart of her work.
Her short films, ASIA-ONE: Expect The Unexpected, and From Gangs to Gardens, have garnered an audience of over 18 million viewers. She co-produced 11:55, a feature film by Ben Snyder and Ari Issler. JLove has co-created, executive produced and directed five TV pilots including M1’s The Message featuring Joey Bada$$, The Sound of Revolution, Breaking Bias with Grammy Award winning J.Ivy, and received distribution The Sound of Revolution from Seed & Spark.
JLove is the author of That White Girl (Atria Books/Simon & Schuster, 2007), and co-edited four books: We Got Issues! A Young Woman’s Guide to a Bold, Courageous and Empowered Life with Rha Goddess (New World Library, 2006); Conscious Women Rock the Page with Marcella Runell Hall, E-Fierce, and Black Artemis (Sister Outsider Publishing, 2008); Love, Race, and Liberation: ‘Til the White Day is Done with Marcella Runell Hall (Love-N-Liberation Press, 2010); and Occupying Privilege (Love-N-Liberation Press, 2012), winner in the social change category of the National Indie Excellence Awards.
JLove is a strong voice in the fight for racial justice, and is a member of the SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) National Leadership Team, as well as COO of the Black Girl Animators Collective.
